25 November 2006 - Featured Dog - Scooter

Dear Mike, Josh & Brian:

On April 30th, 2005 our lives changed forever. We brought home a 4 year old beagle from the Etobicoke Animal Shelter. His name is Scooter. Scooter was, and still is, an adorable dog. He was also in desperate need of obedience training. The only training that he had was being house-trained. After a not too successful attempt at a pet store training session, he still needed help. Our veterinarian recommended “Wolfman” to us. She said he was the best (how true she was!).

Our first phone call in June was informative and very reassuring. Mike told us to come on out and bring Scooter to meet him and the training staff. He told us that all dogs are trainable and that Scooter could be to. From the initial meeting we were reassured that they could help make Scooter a wonderful addition to our family. Our son, Phil, has spent countless hours under the direction of Mike, Josh and Brian to train Scooter. They told Phil that with hard work (both him and Scooter) and a lot of patience, he would have a well behaved dog. Scooter, when he started, was very anxious, loud, and easily distracted. Now, 4 months later, Scooter loves going to school to see his friends. He has learned more than we could have hoped for. At each of our classes, they are always ready to give reassurance and helpful advice. Even when Scooter nipped at both Josh and Brian they took it in stride and never made us feel that we had a problem dog. Scooter is now nearing the end of his training and is going to miss “going in the car to school to see his friends”.

We could not be happier with the outcome, We would highly recommend Mike, Josh, and Brian to anyone who has a dog that they need trained.
