9 December 2008 - Featured Dog - Nikita

Dear Mike,

First I would like to start off by thanking Mike for everything he has done. Thank you for your patience, wisdom, and guidance. You have given my wife and me the tools we needed to train our (at the time) 1-1/2 year old German Shepherd, Nikita.

When we first got Nikita she was 3 months old and the perfect puppy so we thought. She was very smart and very loyal but as she got older she also got more and more aggressive. She would bark at every dog, cat, bird, you name it if it moved she tried to get it! Also trying to walk her was another issue. She would pull and pull, almost dragging us down the street and the more we pulled back the harder she pulled forward. After reading many books and trying many different techniques nothing seemed to work. We were getting very frustrated and then Nikita actually attacked two other dogs on our street. This was the final straw, something needed to be done quickly before someone or something got hurt. I started asking around about obedience training and after talking to our vet and other people from work, Mike’s (the Wolfman) name came up. We made the call and that was that. I will never forget the first day we met Mike and all his dogs. Just seeing how well he works with you and your dog and how well the dogs respond to him was just amazing. The training started on day one and I was amazed how quick and easy his techniques were. Nikita responded very quickly. We noticed a difference right away and so did Nikita, she was no longer the boss! We now have that perfect dog we always wanted. She gets along with other dogs and when we go for walks, she’s right beside us and we don’t even need a leash.
