Unique Training that should be experienced not just talked about!

What a pleasure it is to be able to let you (and any potential clients) know just how wonderful your program has been for Brian and I, and our Cody.

After the passing of our 13-year-old dog Bert in 2001, it was a big step for Brian and I to get another dog. When you’ve had the best it’s hard to think in can happen again. We knew when we picked out our new German Sheppard pup Cody that he was going to be a big boy and a real handful. I knew that as much as Brian and I wanted to try and do the training ourselves that this was a bit more that we had bargained for. We wanted our dog to be more than just trained. We wanted him to be a gentleman that we can take anywhere and introduce to anyone, in other words a true member of our family. Brian suggested dog obedience classes, so when I inquired at Paws and Claws about a dog obedience school I was given your card and was told you were the “Best”. Our first introduction was by phone back in July 2005, and our first meeting was about a week later in August where you took the time to help us cut Cody’s nails and showed us how to use the training collar. I couldn’t wait for our classes to begin, but Cody still hadn’t received the last of his shots and couldn’t come to regular classes, so you allowed Brian and I to come and observe your classes to get a feeling for what were going to be involved in. Both Brian and I had a really good feeling about what we were about to embark upon, and I couldn’t wait for our first puppy party.

We found out within a very short period of time that with your expertise and handling that we were going to have a well polished dog with exemplary manners and behaviour. The compliments we receive when we train in the park, or just walking down the street is certainly a credit to your training methods. I never go anywhere without a couple of your business cards in my pocket.

Cody is 9 months old now and is working at more than his young age commands. Your patience and kindness is more that we could ask for. I think at times it’s been harder to train my husband than it has been the dog. Like no other training program, yours is unique in that you involve everyone in the learning process. In our case my health is an issue and you took me under you wing and taught me how to train in a totally different way than you were teaching my husband. How unique and how special is that! You train our dogs in the real world with real distractions and with the outdoors as your training grounds we even have the weather to condition our dogs too. Cody enjoys his training time so much that we can’t say the word “school” without him running to the door to go see the Wolfman. We can’t say enough good things about the training program and the experiences and knowledge we have gained through meeting you, Karen and Josh. Your combined efforts are those that we appreciate and respect.

Thank you is just not enough for all you have done so far for us. As Brian has said many times over “You are a Magician”! You weave a magical spell on animals and the results are truly amazing to watch. We are so excited about moving on to Agility and Protection Training with Cody, and whatever else you have in store for Brian, Barbara and Cody Birch.
